Adapt your blocks to your morphology

You don’t find your size in my table?

You are between two sizes, for example, your bust fits a size 42 and your waist a size 40? Then what size should you ask for?

If you didn’t already download my size table, click on size table

What size will you ask me for?

For the bodice, ask for the size that fits your bust measure. (watch my video “How to take measures” in Pattern Making introduction page).

For skirt and pants blocks, ask for the size that fits your hips measure.

Your size is above size 44, what do you do?

If your size is above size 44, ask for size 44 blocks and watch my video series “Draw your block above 44” which are available HERE

A block to my size, why?

A pattern block makes your pattern making much easier because translating body shape into a pattern is a fastidious job, so it’s done once for all.

Using a block pattern, you just have to apply enlargements and alter what you have to according to the garment pattern you want to draw. However, you can’t use a pattern block without any enlargement, as the block is the exact pattern of your body with no ease or added volume at all to breathe or move. Each kind of garment has its own enlargements and we will learn them going along this free pattern making course.
